Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist based in Carson, California. Working within the logistics industry, your role will be centered on handling vendor payments, processing invoices, and ensuring accuracy in our accounts payable functions. Responsibilities: • Handle vendor payments in the international trade and transportation sector • Process a high volume of invoices on a weekly basis • Utilize SAP, particularly the Accounts Payable Module, to manage financial tasks • Perform account coding to ensure accurate tracking and reporting of financial data • Conduct regular reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial records • Undertake account payable duties such as cutting checks and making ACH payments • Ensure the company's accounting functions comply with financial policies and regulations • Collaborate with team members to manage payments for specific expenses like ocean freight • Assist in auditing activities to ensure compliance and accuracy in financial operations • Participate in closing duties, including check balance sheets and other financial documents. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the Accounts Payable domain within the logistics industry. • Proficiency in Account Coding and Accrual Accounting. • Experience with Accounting Software Systems and Automated Clearing House (ACH). • Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services and Concur. • Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning, specifically SAP, is crucial. • Expertise in Accounts Payable (AP) and other essential Accounting Functions. • Prior experience in Auditing. • Familiarity with SAP modules such as SAP APO, SAP B1 - Business One, SAP BI4, SAP Ariba, SAP Ariba Contracts, and SAP Basis. • Experience with SAP Billing and Revenue Innovation Management, SAP BOBI, SAP BOBJ, and SAP BOBJ - BusinessObjects. • Knowledge of SAP BODS, SAP BPC, and SAP BPC - Bus Planning & Consolidation. • Familiarity with SAP Business ByDesign, SAP Business Intelligence, and SAP Business Warehouse (BW). • Experience with SAP Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC) Software and SAP BusinessObjects Data Services BODS. • Knowledge of SAP Callidus, SAP CO, SAP CO-PA, Sap Adapter, SAP Analytics Cloud, and SAP Cockpit. • Familiarity with SAP Commerce Cloud, SAP Configuration, SAP CRM, SAP Crystal Reports, and SAP Data Services. • Expertise in SAP ECC, SAP Emarsys, SAP ERP, SAP ERP Central Component, SAP EWM, and SAP Extended Warehouse Management. • Knowledge of SAP FI, SAP FI-AP, SAP FICO, and SAP FICO - Financial Acctg - Controlling. • Familiarity with SAP Fieldglass, SAP Finance and Controlling, SAP Financials, SAP Fiori, and SAP Functional. • Proficiency in SAP Global Trade Services, SAP GRC, SAP HANA, SAP HR, and SAP HR Payroll. • Experience with SAP Human Capital Management, SAP Hybris, SAP IDOC, SAP Integrated Business Planning, and SAP integrations. • Familiarity with SAP IS-Oil, SAP IS-U, SAP Landscape Transformation, SAP Lumira, and SAP Manufacturing. • Proficiency in SAP Master Data Governance, SAP MDG, SAP MDM, SAP MII, SAP MM, and SAP MM - Materials Management. • Knowledge of SAP Modules, SAP NetWeaver, SAP OTC, SAP PI, SAP Platform, and SAP PLM. • Familiarity with SAP PM, SAP Portal, SAP PowerBuilder, SAP PP - Production Planning, and SAP Process Orchestration. • Proficiency in SAP Production Planning (PP), SAP Project Systems, SAP QM, SAP Quick Viewer, and SAP R/3. • Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, SAP SCM, SAP SD, SAP SD Sales & Distribution, and SAP Security. • Experience with SAP Solution Management, SAP SRM, SAP SuccessFactors HCM, SAP Sybase, and SAP TAO. • Familiarity with SAP Transportation Management, SAP UI5, SAP Web Dynpro, SAP Webi, SAP WM, and SAP Xi. • Expertise in SAP XI - SAP PI and SAP2000 is essential. • Proficiency in SAPscript is a plus.
