Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in Plano, Texas. The role involves managing the company's accounts payable procedures, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and maintaining positive vendor relationships. Responsibilities: • Efficiently manage vendor relationships, setup, statement reconciliations, and all communications. • Accurately process invoices using the 3-way match, ensuring they are processed in a timely manner. • Verify the details of purchase orders, including vendor, line items, and payment terms for accuracy. • Actively collaborate with other departments to ensure the organization’s finances are well-ordered. • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to accounts payable. • Prepare and process electronic payments and checks for signature, including cashier's checks. • Reconcile any discrepancies related to payments or invoices with vendors and other departments. • Provide support for other accounting and finance functions as needed. • Maintain accurate records for vendors and all financial transactions for department and tax purposes. • Process documentation as required, using tools like Microsoft Excel and bill.com. Requirements • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is necessary • Must have a comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions • Prior experience in Accounts Payable (AP) is a prerequisite • Ability to handle discrepancies in financial reports • Familiarity with bill.com software is required • Knowledge of 3 Way Matching is essential • In-office Monday-Thursday.
