Description We are actively searching for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team based in Jersey City, New Jersey. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, your main tasks will include handling vendor management, invoicing, reconciliations, auditing, and managing accounts payable. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity. Responsibilities: • Oversee the three-way matching process to ensure accurate account coding • Manage and process invoices in a timely and accurate manner • Perform regular check runs and handle Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions • Utilize accounting software systems, particularly QuickBooks, to maintain accurate financial records • Execute account reconciliations to verify the accuracy of transactions and resolve any discrepancies • Carry out auditing tasks as necessary to ensure compliance with financial regulations • Manage vendor relationships, including handling inquiries and disputes • Prepare and issue 1099 forms to relevant vendors • Utilize Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems to streamline accounting functions • Handle other accounts payable related duties as required. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Coding is necessary for this role. • Familiarity with various Accounting Software Systems is a must. • Experience with ADP - Financial Services is required. • Proficient in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning. • Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions is crucial. • Experience in Accounts Payable (AP) is necessary. • Knowledge of Accrual Accounting is essential. • Experience in Auditing is required. • Familiarity with Automated Clearing House (ACH) processes is a must. • Proficiency in QuickBooks is necessary.
