Description
Kimberly Casey with Robert Half is seeking a high-volume Accounts Payable Specialist to join our client's team in the Manufacturing sector. If you thrive in fast-paced and dynamic environments, then this AP role may be right for you! This AP team processes 30K+ invoices per year. Standard benefits, including healthcare, 2 weeks' vacation and 2 weeks' sick pay.
Key Responsibilities:
Invoice Management:
+ Receive, verify, and accurately enter vendor invoices into the accounts payable system.
+ Match invoices to purchase orders and packing slips (3-way matching) where applicable.
+ Resolve discrepancies between invoices, purchase orders, and receivers with internal teams and vendors.
Payment Processing:
+ Prepare and process electronic payments, ACH transfers, wire payments, and checks in a timely manner.
+ Monitor payment schedules to avoid late fees and ensure compliance with payment terms.
Vendor Relations:
+ Communicate with vendors to address inquiries, reconcile statements, and resolve payment or account discrepancies.
+ Maintain positive vendor relationships to support smooth payment processes.
Reconciliation and Reporting:
+ Perform monthly accounts payable reconciliation to ensure accuracy and integrity of accounts.
+ Assist in month-end and year-end close, including accruals and generating accounts payable reports.
Document Management:
+ Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for all accounts payable transactions, including vendor contracts, invoices, and approvals.
+ Ensure compliance with company policies and audit requirements for accounts payable processes.

Requirements
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required. An associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
Experience:
2+ years of high-volume accounts payable or general accounting experience required.
Experience with enterprise accounting systems required (ERP)
Skills and Competencies:
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
Strong communication skills for internal and external interactions.
