Position Overview: Accounts Payable Specialist
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Specialist to join our accounting team. This individual will play a crucial role in ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices while maintaining strong relationships with vendors and employees. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in accounting principles and practices, with a strong focus on accounts payable functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Process invoices accurately and efficiently. Process checks, ACH and wire payments. Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies. Assist with month-end closing procedures. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely payments. Perform general ledger account reconciliations. Set up and maintain vendor records, including discounts, tax IDs, banking details, and address information. Configure and maintain workflow approvals. Prepare monthly reports. Assist with annual audit process. Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting required. Prior experience in accounts payable or a related field. Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy. Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with vendors and business partners. Familiarity with tax regulations and compliance requirements. Ability to perform general ledger reconciliations. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (intermediate level required). Salary/Wage Range
$26.44 - $28.85 / hour
Compensation for the role will depend on several factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
