Description We are offering a permanent employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in Missouri City, Texas. The role is crucial in our organization, focusing on managing our financial obligations and ensuring smooth operations within the Accounting sector. The workplace will be dynamic and fast-paced, requiring a detail-oriented individual with a strong willingness to learn and adapt. Responsibilities: • Accurately and efficiently process customer credit applications as part of the Accounts Payable function • Expertly navigate between two inter-company entities, ensuring seamless accounting operations • Play an instrumental role in transitioning to new ERP systems, demonstrating agility and adaptability • Handle Accounts Receivable, ensuring accurate and timely processing • Maintain precise records of customer credit information, contributing to overall financial accuracy • Perform intercompany accounting tasks, contributing to financial cohesiveness across the organization • Use QuickBooks for certain accounting functions, demonstrating proficiency in the platform • Manage Automated Clearing House operations, ensuring efficient financial transactions • Be prepared to work during peak periods or for month-end/year-end closings, showcasing commitment and dedication. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role or similar • Proficient in Accounting Functions • Demonstrated knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) • Experience with Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions • Familiarity with Intercompany Accounting • Understanding of Accounts Receivable (AR) • Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software • Ability to work accurately, with attention to detail • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred.
