Description We are offering a temp to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in a location in White Plains. The industry our client operates in requires an individual with a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of accounting functions. In this role, you will be in charge of executing and managing various tasks related to accounts payable. Your role would be to be the right-hand to the Assistant Manager of the AP department. Responsibilities: • Accurately processing customer credit applications • Assisting with ad hoc projects as required • Approving batches to ensure smooth operation • Utilizing Dynamics 365 Business Central to manage accounts payable • Addressing and rectifying account discrepancies • Ensuring accurate maintenance of customer credit records • Comfortably handling high volume AP Email Inbox • Using Excel for various accounting tasks • Communicating effectively via phone as per the job requirements • Actively seeking and addressing coding discrepancies in account transactions. Requirements • Possess at least 2 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role or similar. • Demonstrable proficiency in account coding, crucial for accurate financial record keeping. • Familiarity with a variety of accounting software systems, enhancing overall efficiency. • Comprehensive understanding of general accounting functions, ensuring seamless financial operations. • Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP), essential for maintaining financial stability. • Proficiency in using Dynamics 365 Business Central, enabling streamlined financial management. • Capability to generate and analyze exception reports, crucial for identifying and rectifying financial discrepancies. • Strong skills in Excel, aiding in data management and analysis. • Ability to identify and resolve account discrepancies, ensuring accuracy in financial records.
