Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist. The AP Specialist will be responsible for processing invoices, reconciling vendor accounts, and ensuring timely and accurate payments. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: + Process and verify invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports for accuracy and compliance. + Ensure timely and accurate payment of vendor invoices via checks, ACH, or wire transfers. + Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner. + Maintain accurate records of AP transactions and assist with month-end closing. + Communicate with vendors to address inquiries and payment-related issues. + Assist in preparing and issuing 1099 forms and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. + Monitor accounts to ensure proper approval processes and adherence to company policies. + Work closely with internal departments to resolve invoice discrepancies and approvals. + Assist with audit preparation by providing necessary documentation and reports. + Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in AP functions. Requirements Qualifications: + Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. + 2+ years of experience in accounts payable or a related finance role. + Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). + Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and best practices. + Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills. + Strong problem-solving abilities and ability to work under deadlines. + Effective communication and interpersonal skills. + Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
