Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in the lighting manufacturing industry, located in New York. This role involves various tasks related to financial record keeping and vendor communication. Responsibilities: • Accurately process invoices and apply payments • Communicate effectively with vendors regarding payment issues • Secure internal approvals for payments in a timely manner • Enter invoice data into the system with precision • Utilize Sage Intacct and Microsoft Excel for financial tasks • Monitor and update customer credit records regularly • Take necessary actions on customer accounts when required. Requirements • Proven experience in Accounts Payable (AP) is mandatory • Ability to approve invoices following company guidelines and policies • Proficiency in coding invoices to ensure accurate financial recording • Experience in payment processing, ensuring all payments are made in a timely and accurate manner • Demonstrated expertise in posting payments to the company's accounting system • Familiarity with Sage Intacct software for managing financial processes • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and charts.
