The Accounts Payable Specialist plays an important role in supporting the Accounts Payable Department, ensuring timely and accurate processing and payment of a high volume of invoices. The Accounts Payable Specialist works directly with various departments and external vendors to ensure timely responses to all inquiries and requests, contributing to maintaining strong vendor account relationships. Consistent application of internal financial policies and payment processing procedures, along with adherence to internal controls in conformity with generally accepted accounting principles, is essential. The Accounts Payable Specialist ensures that all requisite support documentation and approvals are obtained prior to payment. This role requires strong communication and customer service skills and the ability to work with vendors and internal and external customers in a professional manner. The Accounts Payable Specialist must maintain a high level of detail and possess critical thinking skills to move forward quickly and efficiently.
Responsibilities
+ Support the Accounts Payable Department by ensuring timely and accurate processing and payment of a high volume of invoices.
+ Work directly with various departments and external vendors to ensure timely responses to all inquiries and requests.
+ Maintain strong vendor account relationships.
+ Consistently apply internal financial policies and payment processing procedures.
+ Adhere to internal controls in conformity with generally accepted accounting principles.

Work Environment
Work hours are from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm daily, with flexibility if necessary. The work environment includes a large team, providing opportunities to network with like-minded professionals.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr.
