Accounts Payable Specialist
Description We are offering a temporary contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist at our Solana Beach, California location. This role is within the real estate industry and requires a high level of organization and attention to detail. The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for managing and processing invoices, maintaining communication through the AP email box, and assisting with check runs. Responsibilities: • Oversee the collection of invoices and ensure their timely and accurate processing • Manage the Accounts Payable email box, ensuring all queries and correspondences are addressed promptly • Oversee timing and payment processes to ensure all transactions are completed within the stipulated timeframe • Monitor the status of invoice processing regularly to ensure all transactions are up to date • Spend time with autopayments for utilities to ensure payments are made correctly and on time • Handle a volume of 300-400 payments, ensuring all transactions are processed accurately and efficiently • Assist with check runs, processing 300-400 checks as required • Utilize the Yardi system for envelope stuffing, ensuring all outgoing mail is correctly addressed and sent out in a timely manner • Perform minimal journal entries as required, ensuring all entries are accurate and up to date • Utilize skills in Account Coding, Accounting Software Systems, ADP - Financial Services, Concur, ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning, Accounting Functions, Accounts Payable (AP), Accrual Accounting, Auditing, Automated Clearing House (ACH) to perform duties efficiently and effectively. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Coding is necessary. • Familiarity with Accounting Software Systems is required. • Experience with ADP - Financial Services is essential. • The ability to use Concur effectively is a must. • Knowledge and experience with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is crucial. • Demonstrated skills in various Accounting Functions are required. • Proficiency in managing Accounts Payable (AP) is necessary. • Knowledge of Accrual Accounting is a must. • Experience in Auditing is highly desirable. • Familiarity with Automated Clearing House (ACH) is important.
