Description We are offering a permanent employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in New York, New York. This role is integral to our team, where you will be managing daily financial transactions and ensuring smooth business operations. Responsibilities: • Review, verify, and record vendor and contractor bills for accuracy and completeness. • Update and maintain customer and vendor databases in the accounting software. • Process checks and ACH payments following internal protocols. • Record and track various financial transactions including rents, subsidies, credits, and refunds. • Monitor Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable aging, initiating necessary correspondence with customers and vendors. • Prepare and reconcile monthly managed-money activity statements. • Support external audits by organizing financial documents for easy retrieval and responding to inquiries. • Record tenant SSI receipts and expenses, and reconcile tenant escrow transactions. • Liaise with HR Manager regarding fringe benefits, invoice allocations, and employee changes. • Assist in special projects as needed, ensuring long-term organizational success. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Coding is essential for the role. • Familiarity with Accounting Software Systems is a must. • Experience with ADP - Financial Services is required. • Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is vital. • Ability to handle Accounting Functions is necessary. • Experience in Accounts Payable (AP) is a must-have. • Proficiency in QuickBooks is crucial for this position. • Experience in Accounts Receivable (AR) is required.
