Description We are searching for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in the automotive industry, located in Irving, Texas. In this role, you will be tasked with handling a variety of responsibilities related to accounts payable, including processing invoices, maintaining accurate records, and resolving inquiries. This position offers a short term contract employment opportunity. Responsibilities: • Accurately process incoming claims invoices from various vendors • Validate claim information or contract numbers attached to invoices • Efficiently enter invoice data into the AS400 system • Utilize Microsoft Excel to handle invoices received in this format • Perform account coding as necessary for invoice processing • Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy of invoice entries • Communicate with vendors regarding processed payments and expected receipt dates • Manage high-volume data entry tasks with a focus on maintaining accuracy • Create a weekly spreadsheet of exception invoices to send to the operations department • Update vendor accounts with remittance information post-check runs. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Coding is essential. • Familiarity and working experience with Accounting Software Systems. • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Accounts Payable (AP). • Auditing skills are a must-have. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required. • Experience with AS400 is highly desirable. • Excellent Data Entry skills are vital. • Must be capable of handling High-Volume Data Entry. • Experience in handling Approved Invoices is needed. • Ability to Enter Invoices efficiently and accurately. • Experience in entering Vendor Invoices is required. • Proficiency in Invoice Entry is necessary. • Experience in Invoice Reconciliation is highly desirable.
