Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist for a growing client located in Shoreview, Minnesota. This role will require you to be onsite 1-2 days per week, but remote the other days. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be involved in various aspects of the A/P process, working with a team of other professionals to assist with invoice processing, vendor communication and invoice validation. Responsibilities: • Accurately process accounts payable and purchase order invoices • Enter vendor invoices into the system accurately and promptly • Validate the invoice coding that populates from the optical character recognition (OCR) technology's initial read on invoices, making the necessary corrections • Route invoices for approval in a timely and efficient manner • Conduct weekly check runs to ensure financial integrity • Provide assistance with vendor calls to resolve any issues or discrepancies • Conduct vendor account reconciliations as directed by A/P leadership Requirements • 3+ years of experience in an accounts payable position is highly desired. • Proficient with Accounts Payable (AP) procedures and processes. • Experience with ACH and EFT transactions. • Familiarity with a large company ERP, such as SAP, NetSuite, Oracle, D365 or similar financial software. • Prior experience working with both PO and non-PO invoices. • Experience entering vendor invoices into an A/P system. • Understanding of the General Ledger and related accounting principles.
