Description We are in the process of recruiting an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Richfield, Minnesota. This position will be responsible for managing and processing a high volume of vendor invoices and overseeing the Accounts Payable Automation Tool (APAT). This role is in the aviation sector and offers a long-term contract employment opportunity. Responsibilities • Oversee and manage the APAT to ensure smooth operations and resolve any issues that may arise • Handle the processing of a high volume of vendor invoices on a weekly basis • Assist vendors in understanding how to submit their invoices using the APAT • Collaborate with project managers to ensure they only see their own invoices • Review and streamline the process for entering and backing up AP check runs • Handle the coding of invoices and efficiently enter vendor invoices into the accounting software system • Monitor and manage the flow of accounts payable functions • Maintain and update vendor records in the Oracle and JD Edwards EnterpriseOne systems • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with the APAT or the accounting software systems • Implement and manage automation processes within the accounts payable functions. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role as an Accounts Payable Specialist. • Proficient in using Accounting Software Systems. • Thorough understanding of Accounting Functions and Accounts Payable (AP) processes. • Experience with Oracle and JD Edwards EnterpriseOne is preferred. • Ability to Enter Vendor Invoices accurately and promptly. • Familiarity with the process of Invoice Coding and handling Multiple Vendors. • Experience with Automation in Accounts Payable processes. • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
