Accounts Payable Specialist Compensation and Benefits

 Accounts Payable Specialist Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent Strong computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word) Excellent customer service skills Excellent communication skills Excellent attention to detail Ethical and Honest Bilingual English / Spanish, required Ability to work independently in a fast-paced team environment. Excellent follow-up and organizational skills as well as strong mathematical aptitude Excellent 10-key skills Able to pass a drug test and background check

Experience – 2+ years as Accounts Payable Clerk.

 Accounts Payable Responsibilities

Set up and maintain vendor records for accurate year-end Form 1099 reporting, ensuring W-9 forms and Certificates of Insurance are current. Accurately input and code vendor invoices to the appropriate general ledger expense accounts, and manage approvals in the accounting process. Enter rent and utility bills, verifying compliance with budget/contracts and reporting discrepancies to supervisors. Research and resolve invoice discrepancies, processing check runs and ACH payments as necessary. Perform monthly closeout procedures, including accrual preparation, account reconciliations, and assist with month-end close activities by preparing and posting journal entries.
