Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist to join a reputable law firm in Westwood on a temporary basis to cover a maternity leave. This position plays a key role in the firm’s financial operations by ensuring timely and accurate processing of payments, reconciliations, and other accounting-related tasks. If you are an organized professional with excellent attention to detail and a strong understanding of accounting principles, we want to hear from you! Daily Tasks: + Reconcile transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance. + Process expense reimbursements and payments in alignment with firm policies and procedures. + Timely and accurate processing of check requests. + Review and verify vendor statements for accuracy and ensure prompt payment. + Audit and process billing client costs for accuracy. + Reconcile and process miscellaneous daily payments, such as cell phone bills, auto insurance, etc. + Provide accounts receivable support by assisting with deposits and the application of receipts. Requirements Requirements and Skills for Success: + Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. + Exceptional attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all financial processes. + Competency in Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, and Outlook) is essential. + Ability to handle and meet competing priorities and maintain efficiency under tight deadlines. + Comfort with learning and adapting to moderately complex computer systems, with a willingness to embrace changes in such systems. + Demonstrate a solid understanding of basic accounting principles.
