Accounts Payable Supervisor
Description Robert Half is partnering with a Minneapolis based healthcare organization in search of a contract Senior Accounts Payable Supervisor to assist with an open position. The Accounts Payable Supervisor will play a crucial role in managing the accounts payable transactions, ensuring their accurate and timely processing of all invoices, vendor correspondence and interaction with a variety of hospitals working to obtain payment. This role will also be responsible for maintaining vendor relationships, managing the corporate card program, and handling escalated payment issues from a variety of sources, both internal and external. Responsibilities: • Accurately process accounts payable transactions, ensuring all payments are in line with the invoices due for payment. • Conduct thorough data entry, ensuring the integrity of the information entered into the accounting software system. • Handle the corporate credit card program, assigning new cards, conducting the monthly reconciliation and troubleshooting user access issues. • Oversee the accounts payable email inbox, responsible to vendor questions and requests for payment status. • Work directly with hospitals that are waiting on various payments, often ensuring that medical codes have been submitted properly prior to authorizing payment. • Ensure the organization is in compliance with any requirements from government programs, such as Medicare or Medicaid. • Oversee monthly accruals for expenses and subledger reconciliation. • Maintain up-to-date vendor files for the accounting team. Requirements • 7+ years of experience in an accounts payable role • Prior AP supervisory experience is highly desired • Prior exposure to healthcare, either pay or provider side, is highly desired • Previous experience preparing monthly accruals related to the AP process • Familiarity with ACH and EFT payments. • Experience with purchase orders, including a 3-way match. • Ability to manage vendor relationships effectively • Demonstrated experience preparing G/L account reconciliations • Prior experience administering a corp card and P-card program • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
