In this position, you are responsible for supervising activities related to processing means of cash payments, coding invoices and maintaining internal controls over the disbursements cycle. Complies with applicable laws and regulations; including but not limited to HIPAA Implements and maintains systems, procedures and policies with regard to accounts payable functions to ensure adherence to company policy Ensures that historical information regarding payments and invoices is properly maintained and safeguarded Good planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work Supports group of accounts payable clerks and ensures that responsibilities are properly divided among the department Supports monthly closing process of Accounts Payable functions Performs diligence in securing all company information, including but not limited to company and patient information Prompt and regular attendance is required Provides accounting assistance to project managers and internal staff, responding to financial questions to meet the needs of the business Raises awareness of significant issues with vendors regarding changes to terms, disputes over charges, etc. Reports to upper management on progress of projects Responsible for the proper training and evaluation of employee’s work product Serves as project advisor or team lead for process improvements for Accounts Payable Strong communication skills for communicating with support personnel and management Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications Employment is contingent on Background investigation (company-wide) Drug screen (when applicable for the position) Valid driver’s license in state of residence with a clean driving record (when applicable for the position) Required Education and/or Experience High school diploma or GED equivalent, required Preferred Education and/or Experience Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or related field preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience Seven years of accounting or accounts payable experience, preferred Three years of supervision experience, preferred One year of related work experience, preferred Skills and Competencies Accurately perform simple mathematical calculations Effectively communicate in English; both oral and written Interpret a variety of communications (verbal, non-verbal, written, listening and visual) Maintain confidentiality, discretion and caution when handling sensitive information Multi-task along with attention to detail Self-motivation, organized, time-management and deductive problem solving skills Work independently and as part of a team Machines, Equipment and Technical Abilities Email transmission and communication Internet navigation and research Microsoft applications; Outlook, Word and Excel Office equipment; fax machine, copier, printer, phone and computer and/or tablet Physical Demands Lift and carry office equipment at times Ability to lift boxes of 20 pounds or more Requires sitting, walking, standing, talking and listening Requires close vision to small print on computer and/or tablet and paperwork Rotech Information Benefits Generous paid time Off and paid holidays Overtime pay for non-exempt hourly positions based on business needs Commission for Account Executives Fixed and variable rate car reimbursement for Area Managers and Account Executives Employee discount program Employee recognition program Bonus and incentive opportunities Mileage reimbursement (when applicable for the position) Telephone reimbursement (when applicable for the position) EAP 401k Medical, Prescription, Dental and Vision HSA and FSA/Dependent Care FSA Life Insurance, Disability, Accidental death, Identity protection and Legal services Meru Health Mental health and Mercer SmartConnect Medicare programs Livongo Diabetes and High Blood Pressure programs Healthcare Bluebook and RX Savings solutions programs HEPB and TB vaccinations Make the Right Move and Submit your Resume Today!
