We are offering a permanent employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Supervisor in Honolulu, Hawaii. The key function of this role will be to supervise the accounts payable team and manage the daily operations within the accounts payable system. Responsibilities:
• Oversee the team working on the Accounts Payable system, ensuring their work is regularly reviewed and meets the required standards.
• Manage the daily operations of the Accounts Payable system, ensuring its maintenance and smooth running.
• Ensure the operations are aligned with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and the organization's accounting policies and procedures.
• Assure adherence to Internal Revenue Services regulations relating to expense documentation and 1099 Miscellaneous reporting.
• Implement and maintain special projects within the Accounts Payable area to improve efficiency and performance.
• Foster a collaborative environment to encourage high performance from the team and timely resolution of financial discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with established accrual policies and Corporate Card administration.
• Use accounting software systems effectively to process data and perform accounting functions.
• Supervise account coding and automated clearing house processes.
Requirements • Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role or related field
• Proficiency in Account Coding techniques and practices
• Familiarity with various Accounting Software Systems
• Ability to perform Data Processing tasks efficiently and accurately
• Good understanding of Accounting Functions and practices
• Hands-on experience with Accounts Payable (AP) processes
• Knowledge of Accrual Accounting principles and methods
• Experience in Auditing procedures and practices
• Understanding of Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions
• Proven supervisory skills and experience
