Accounts Payable Supervisor/Manager
Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Payable Supervisor/Manager to join our team in the construction/contractor industry based in Sanford, Florida. In this role, you will oversee the Accounts Payable department, ensure the efficient processing of customer applications, maintain accurate financial records, and provide excellent customer service. Responsibilities: • Oversee the Accounts Payable team to ensure efficient processing of customer applications • Onboard, train, and evaluate Accounts Payable staff members • Ensure excellent customer service by being responsive to both internal and external customers and vendors • Oversee the check run, 1099 process, and vendor aging • Identify opportunities for improvement within high volume invoicing processes • Reconcile accounts payable sub-ledger to general ledger and other applicable records such as vendor statements • Maintain accurate and complete financial records and generate monthly vendor aging reports • Compile and report financial information to management and government agencies • Prioritize safety in the workplace • Manage special projects as requested by management to meet the ongoing needs of the organization. For more information message Kathy Downs on LinkedIn Requirements • A minimum of 7 years of experience in an Accounts Payable or similar role within the construction/contractor industry. • Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Supervisor or Manager, with a strong understanding of financial regulations and procedures. • Extensive knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP), including processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices. • Solid experience in Acquisition Integration, with the ability to effectively manage and integrate new acquisitions into existing financial systems. • Proficiency in Ad Hoc Reporting, with the ability to generate custom reports as needed for financial analysis and decision-making. • Excellent leadership skills, with a proven track record of managing and developing high-performing teams. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization. • High level of accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. • Proficiency in using accounting software and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel. • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.
