Accounts Payable Supervisor/Manager
Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Supervisor/Manager in North Andover, Massachusetts. The main function of this role is to oversee the full cycle of accounts payable processing within our organization. This includes maintaining documentation, streamlining invoices, and conducting training for staff members. Responsibilities: • Oversee the entire process of accounts payable, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. • Implement techniques to streamline invoices and optimize the process. • Train and guide staff members on best practices and updates in the system. • Review and implement new system updates for improved functionality. • Take on ad hoc projects as they arise, contributing to the overall efficiency of the department. • Support accounts payable reporting and the creation of journal entries. • Play an active role in the month-end close process. • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to accounts payable. • Utilize accounting software systems and tools like Concur and ADP for financial services. • Conduct regular audits and checks to ensure accuracy in account coding and data processing. • Manage automated clearing house (ACH) transactions and accrual accounting within the department. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Coding is essential for this role. • Familiarity with various Accounting Software Systems is required. • Experience with ADP - Financial Services is a significant asset. • Knowledge and hands-on experience with Concur is highly desirable. • Ability to handle Data Processing tasks efficiently is necessary. • Thorough understanding and application of Accounting Functions is required. • Expertise in Accounts Payable (AP) is mandatory. • Competence in Accrual Accounting is needed. • Experience in Auditing processes is a plus. • Familiarity with Automated Clearing House (ACH) system is beneficial.
