Accounts Payable Supervisor/Manager
Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Payable Supervisor/Manager located in Manhasset, New York. The chosen individual will be tasked with overseeing department activities such as disbursing checks and processing payroll, as well as building and maintaining relationships with employees, clients, vendors, and lenders. Responsibilities: • Oversee and ensure the accurate and timely completion of routine department activities • Compile, analyze, and report financial information to management and government agencies • Maintain accurate and complete records pertaining to finances, employees, and clients • Develop, implement, improve and enforce department budgets, policies, and controls to increase accuracy and efficiency • Establish and facilitate the achievement of department objectives • Leverage strong working knowledge of QuickBooks, NetSuite, and Microsoft Office Suite to perform duties • Utilize strong planning and problem-solving skills to analyze information and processes • Build and maintain relationships with employees, clients, vendors, and lenders, demonstrating strong communication and interpersonal skills • Uphold a commitment to ethical behavior, adhering strictly to all company policies and current financial legislation • Utilize skills in Account Coding, Accounting Software Systems, ADP - Financial Services, Concur, Data Processing, Accounting Functions, Accounts Payable (AP), Accrual Accounting, Auditing, Automated Clearing House (ACH) to perform various duties. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years experience as an Accounts Payable Supervisor/Manager, preferably within the Healthcare/NHS industry. • Proficient in Account Coding and understanding of its application in the healthcare sector. • Demonstrated experience with Accounting Software Systems, with the ability to adapt to new software quickly. • Familiar with ADP - Financial Services, and its use in managing financial transactions. • Proficiency in using Concur for travel and expense management. • Experience in Data Processing, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency. • Comprehensive knowledge of Accounting Functions, including the ability to oversee a team of accountants. • Extensive experience in Accounts Payable (AP), including managing invoices and payments. • Understanding of Accrual Accounting and its application in the healthcare industry. • Auditing skills, with a focus on identifying inaccuracies or discrepancies in financial data. • Knowledge of Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions, including the ability to manage and oversee these transactions.
