Accounts Payable Supervisor/Manager
Description We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Payable (AP) Manager to lead and oversee our accounts payable operations in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of AP processes and extensive experience with Deltek Costpoint, ensuring seamless processing and accuracy across transactions. As the AP Manager, you will be responsible for managing a dedicated team, ensuring prompt payments, maintaining precise records, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations. Responsibilities: + Lead and manage the daily accounts payable functions in a high-volume setting, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and expenses. + Supervise and mentor a team of AP staff, offering training, guidance, and performance evaluations. + Review and authorize AP transactions, ensuring proper coding, adherence to company policies, and regulatory compliance. + Utilize Deltek Costpoint to process, monitor, and manage invoices, maintaining accuracy and efficiency in all transactions. + Oversee and coordinate the weekly payments process, ensuring payments are made on time, with proper approvals and in line with contract terms. + Reconcile the AP ledger and resolve discrepancies promptly. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams (such as Procurement, Finance, and Operations) to address payment issues and optimize AP processes. + Foster strong relationships with vendors, resolving billing, payment, and contract-related issues. + Prepare and review monthly AP reports, providing actionable insights to senior management. + Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, company policies, and best practices. + Continuously improve AP workflows by identifying opportunities for process enhancement and efficiency gains. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred). At least 5 years of Accounts Payable experience Minimum of 2 years in a managerial capacity. Strong proficiency with Deltek Costpoint Proven track record of effectively managing high-volume AP operations. Comprehensive knowledge of AP processes and financial regulations Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational and time-management abilities Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
