Description:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounts Payable (AP) Tax & Accounting Team Lead to join our team. As a key member of the AP Controls & Compliance Team aligned to the Cash Management Solutions (CMS) organization within Global Financial Services (GFS), you will lead a 5-person team responsible for various tax and accounting functions. Additionally, you will be required to support special projects assigned by leadership while also providing accounting oversight across CMS.
In this role, you will provide guidance and oversight to a team responsible for AP general ledger accounting to ensure accurate financial statements as well as compliance with federal and state AP tax regulations. Additional projects and assignments may include tasks such as:
- Assisting in the resolution of complex reconciling items and accounting issues
- Supporting the company-wide transition to a new SAP S4 system
- Coordinating the AP 10-Q/10-K Related Parties process
- Supporting the migration of account reconciliation software
- Calculating metrics for billing cost to the business areas
- Working with external auditors
- Leading the annual Accounting System Audit Preparedness Risk Review
- Leading the internal AP process improvement team
This is a challenging position where you are expected to be a proven high performer and a quick learner. You must bring a sense of dedication to the organization and be able to meet tight deadlines on a continuous basis while staying focused on internal and external controls, policies, and requirements.
You will be expected to drive process improvements and work both independently and in a supportive, diverse team environment. Success in this position requires the ability to master systems and processes, quickly become a subject matter expert, and provide excellent customer service by building effective relationships across the enterprise. The role will also be expected to maintain/drive required financial controls and to support audits as necessary.
The preferred candidate will be located within driving distance of Lakeland, FL for occasional meetings in-person.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- Advanced accounting and analytical skills
- Experience leading projects and teams
- Strong Microsoft Office skills including Excel
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to effectively work across organizational boundaries
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with all levels of leadership (verbally and in writing)
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with little or no direction
- Demonstrated ability to identify and implement new strategies and process improvement ideas
- Demonstrated high level of accountability and professionalism

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
