Accounts Payable Team Leader

About the role
As an Accounts Payable Team Lead, you will be responsible for supervising the Accounts Payable team, and for ensuring accurate payments are made to vendors within agreed contract terms, and in accordance with financial regulations and policies. We will count on you to liaise closely with relevant parties in order to relay financial advice, guidance, and analysis to internal/external stakeholders. Along the way, you will get to:
Supervise and motivate the team, to promote teammate satisfaction through mentoring, development, and career planning; creating a high performing team with a strong succession benchmark, enabling career progression. Ensure incoming vendor invoices match Insight’s purchase orders and arrange payments to vendors in line with agreed terms. Oversee all ledgers and ensure vendors are paid on time. Lead the smooth operation of payment runs, conduct adequate checks to ensure that payments are made to the correct vendors, and approve all payments raised by the Accounts Payable Analyst. Deliver advice and guidance on financial transactions, monitor the volume of outstanding queries, and resolve all escalated matters in a timely manner. Demonstrates relevant accounts payable knowledge and can demonstrate experience of working with control account reconciliations Proven team leader experience – driving passion, motivation, and energy throughout the team Ability to interpret and analyse business and technical reports in addition to writing and presenting information to senior stakeholders Proven ability to highlight trends and detect financial inconsistencies when analysing and summarising detailed financial information
