Essential Functions
Timely processing of all invoices, check requests and expense statements for New Hartford and Dunkirk. Ability to handle various functions as the need arises. Invoice all New Hartford and Dunkirk shipments.
Additional Responsibilities
· Process and input all vendor invoices, check requests, expense statements and freight bills.
· Verify that all transactions comply with financial policies and procedures.
· Run and review Invoice on Hold report.
· Processes weekly payments (checks, ACH, etc)
· Month-end closing of Accounts Payable module, including accumulating accruals, reconciling to GL, etc.
· Communicate with vendors to resolve issues.
· Maintain vendor files.
· Provide information and analysis to other non-financial department staff members in resolving financial and budgetary problems.
· Verify auditors’ confirmation statements are in agreement with SMC records.
· Assist the Accounting Department in Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and related audit assistance.
· Provide administrative support as needed to ensure effective and efficient office operations.
· Complete special projects as assigned.
· Perform other related duties as required.

Education and Experience
Associate’s Degree in business related field required, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Three to five years’ experience in a business related position, preferably processing Accounts Payable.
