Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Accountant in Torrance, California. This role is vital to our team in the consumer products industry. As an Accounts Receivable Accountant, you will be tasked with managing customer accounts, processing applications, and resolving inquiries. Responsibilities: • Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary • Accurately process customer credit applications in a timely manner • Maintain and update customer credit records to ensure accuracy • Handle customer inquiries regarding their accounts and provide solutions • Work with the accounts receivable team to generate monthly aging reports • Post customer payments and manage cash applications • Conduct regular account reconciliations to identify discrepancies • Utilize accounting software for billing and collections activities • Handle credit-related tasks such as chargebacks, deductions, and claims • Use Microsoft Excel, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP for various accounting tasks. Requirements • Minimum of 1+ years of experience in an Accounts Receivable role • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation • Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) processes • Familiarity with Billing procedures • Understanding of Cash Applications and Cash Collections • Experience with Commercial Collections • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel • Familiarity with Oracle software • Experience with QuickBooks software • Knowledge of SAP software • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field preferred • Excellent communication and organizational skills • Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
