Accounts Receivable Analyst #6202

ROLE

Identifies, documents, and implements best practices for business processes and procedures related to Recology’s Accounts Receivables (A/R) and Alternate Accounts Receivables (ALTAR) systems.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES 

Analyzes AR and Allowance for Doubtful Accounts to confirm compliance with corporate policy and report unusual or questionable items. Assists accounting team with GL and bank account reconciliations. Provides analytical support and supports programmers and technical staff on AR/ALTAR functions related to rate code set-up, billing, liens and payment applications. Provides troubleshooting, analysis, and resolution of AR/ALTAR, KUBRA issues which may require technical or functional remedies related to billing and payment application. Performs data-analysis and clean-up activities for AR/ALTAR-related special projects such as: rate changes, company conversions to AR/ALTAR, billing system changes, and company-wide data-standardization initiatives. Troubleshoots Showcase reporting platform queries and reports. Support user requests to enhance existing reports, and to write new reports. Resolves user support tickets related to AR/ALTAR rate / commodity code set-up and payment posting issues. Reviews credit card issues related to new merchant set-up, ordering credit card terminals and assistance with chargeback or merchant fee research.(when applicable.) Facilitates AR/Altar training classes related to billing, rate increase and lien processing. Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to qualify is:

Three years related experience. Technical business systems experience to include troubleshooting. Knowledge of Accounts Receivables and billing processes. Ability to verbally convey detailed information in an informative concise manner. Ability to meet deadlines. Detail oriented. Advanced Computer Systems aptitude. Knowledge of billing systems and technical report writing systems, Showcase a plus. Strong MSOffice, advanced Excel preferred. High school or GED equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
