Role Description
The Accounts Receivable Assistant will be part of a hard-working and dynamic team, and they will gain experience over several areas of accounting and finance. The role will primarily assist in accounting for our Retail, Touring and E-commerce business channels.
As the Accounts Receivable Assistant, you will work closely with the Retail, Touring and E-commerce teams as well as supporting other members of the Finance team. You may also be required to carry out other ad-hoc reporting duties as requested by the Finance Director.
The role requires someone who wants to learn and take on new challenges, they should be able to adapt easily and have excellent attention to detail. An interest and ability in investigating and troubleshooting queries will also be an asset.
What the role includes?
Accounts Receivable:
Verify and set up new customer accounts in Xero.Run credit checks for new customers.Produce and send out customer statements.Chase debtors and investigate any queries.Reconcile all 3 bank accounts on a weekly basis.Resolve all customer queries.Retail Accounting:
Review and check draft retail invoices, post and send out to customers.Produce contra report for specific customers.Reconcile and post quarterly contra balances.Tour Accounting:
Assist the Tour Accountant with processing tour sales sheets during busy periods.Process band comps and sales to the band.Stock reconciliations and adjustments.Processes tour recharge invoices.Ecommerce Accounting:
Processing invoices and credit notes.Send invoices to customers.Stock reconciliations and adjustments.What it’s like to work in the Team?

Excellent attention to detail.Prior experience in an Accounts Assistant role.Ability to adapt and take on new challenges.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to multi-task and work to tight deadlines.Ability to operate using own initiative.Proactive - display strong initiative and ability to identify and rectify issues.Desirable:
Basic Accounting Qualifications (AAT or early stages of CIMA/ACCA).Experience using Xero would be advantageous.Good working knowledge of Excel (Vlookups and Pivot tables etc.)Experience posting accounting journals.Music merchandising industry experience.Behaviours:
