Description
Lindsey McCarthy with Robert Half is in search of a meticulous Accounts Receivable Clerk to join their client's team based in Buffalo, New York. In this role, you will primarily handle the accounts receivable for all properties, reconcile accounts and banks, and manage high volumes of financial data. The role also involves communication with tenants and vendors and the implementation of processes and procedures.
Responsibilities
• Handle accounts receivable for all properties, including processing and recording payments
• Conduct account and bank reconciliations, ensuring accuracy in all financial data
• Accurately match bank deposits to statements and maintain proper filing
• Prepare and issue monthly invoices, as well as calculate and maintain prepaid amounts
• Set up each building's utilities with autopayment, ensuring all utilities are properly accounted for
• Communicate effectively with tenants and vendors, addressing and resolving any issues that may arise
• Manage late payments, including conducting light collections and working with management to set up payment terms
• Prepare and generate reports to provide insights into financial status and performance
• Help implement processes and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy
• Use software such as QuickBooks and Yardi for financial management and reporting
Requirements • Proficient in Account Reconciliation
• Demonstrable knowledge and experience in Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Proficiency in using QuickBooks software
• Experience with Yardi software
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Exceptional organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proven ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Demonstrable knowledge of general accounting principles
• Experience in a similar role would be advantageous
• Ability to meet strict deadlines
• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred
