Description We are looking for a meticulous Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in the transport industry located in Long Beach, California. As an Accounts Receivable Clerk, you will be tasked with managing our customer accounts, ensuring accurate and timely processing of customer payments and resolving any related inquiries. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity. Responsibilities: • Manage and monitor the payment status of a variety of customer accounts, including VIP and freight forwarding customers • Accurately process credit payments and transfer them accordingly • Utilize our IRIS-4 system to handle tasks such as freight offsetting • Send out weekly collection statements and monitor accounts receivables • Handle and resolve disputes with customers regarding payment issues • Maintain precise records of customer credit • Work closely with both internal and external team members to ensure smooth operations • Use the internal platform to convert statements into Excel • Issue invoices through the IRIS-4 system • Stay organized and attentive to detail to ensure all tasks are completed accurately and efficiently. Requirements • Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role such as Accounts Receivable Clerk • Proficiency in account reconciliation is required • Demonstrated experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) is necessary • Familiarity with billing procedures and practices is expected • Knowledge of cash applications is crucial • Experience with cash collections is desirable • Past work in commercial collections is advantageous • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is necessary • Experience with Oracle financial software is a plus • Familiarity with QuickBooks accounting software is beneficial • Knowledge of SAP software is highly appreciated Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
