Accounts Receivable Clerk
Come join our Accounting team as our next Accounts Receivable Clerk!  Principle Responsibilities & Position Purpose: Perform entry-level accounts receivable duties 5 days per week (M-F).                                                                             *Scroll down to obtain link to apply directly with COMPASS GROUP. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Average Percent  of Time: 75 %                 Assist the Credit Manager in the activities of accounts receivables including billing of accounts, preparation and mailing of statements, posting of payments, advanced deposits and refunds. Monitor, verify and balance daily postings of room, food and beverage and other charges to proper A/R and Master Accounts.         15 %                 Research and answer billing inquiries and resolve guest disputes in a timely manner.                      5 %                  Assisting in collection process of all accounts; current and outstanding 5 %                  Support Credit Manager by creating group profiles from contracts. Perform other duties as requested.   SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by management based upon the particular requirements of the company.   + Maintain an open line of communication between guests, employees and management + Assist office in any other administrative duties as needed + Other duties as assigned ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS Positions directly reporting to this position (titles): • None SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.   + Hotel Front Desk experience preferred + Opera PMS and Excel experience preferred + Basic knowledge of bookkeeping and standard accounting procedures + Basic mathematical skills and ability to operate 10-key calculator              + Ability to effectively deal with guest and employee concerns in a friendly and positive manner + Ability to read, write and speak English sufficient to understand and communicate with employees and guests + Knowledge of computers and typing skills QUALIFICATION STANDARDS EDUCATION High School diploma required College degree preferred. EXPERIENCE Prior hotel accounting experience preferred. Opera experience a plus.
