Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in the Energy industry based on the Northside of Houston. The successful candidate will be instrumental in maintaining an accurate record of Accounts Receivable transactions to customer accounts. Responsibilities: • Maintain an accurate record of Accounts Receivable transactions to customer accounts. • Oversee the Accounts Receivable inbox, ensuring all transactions are recorded and processed efficiently. • Confirm the accuracy of bank statements and assist in cash reconciliations. • Resolve and research payments and deposits from all departments. • Process, load, and post checks received through lockbox and maintain the lockboxes, addressing any issues promptly. • Process ACH and Check returns, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded. • Reconcile customer accounts, ensuring all transactions are accounted for and discrepancies are resolved. • Support other accounting functions as needed, providing assistance in various financial tasks. Requirements • Proficiency in performing Cash Reconciliations is essential. • Experience in Accounts Receivable (AR) is required. • Ability to accurately process and analyze bank statements is necessary. • Good communication and interpersonal skills are necessary. • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines. • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and other accounting software. • Attention to detail and problem-solving ability. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
