Description We are currently seeking an Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team. This role is based in Memphis, Tennessee, and provides a contract to permanent employment opportunity. As an Accounts Receivable Clerk, your main responsibility will be to manage customer credit applications, maintain precise client records, monitor customer accounts and take necessary action based on account activity.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage high volume invoicing tasks.
• Handle both intercompany and external invoices.
• Generate and process automated invoices on a daily basis until noon.
• Perform reconciliation tasks from noon until the end of the day.
• Distribute invoices through email and postal services.
• Participate in manual creation of invoices.
• Avoid communication with external companies.
• Ensure precision in customer credit records.
• Monitor customer accounts and initiate appropriate actions as necessary.
• Address customer inquiries in a timely and detail oriented manner. Requirements • Proficient in Accounts Receivable (AR) operations, with a proven track record of managing large volume accounts.
• Strong understanding of financial regulations and accounting principles.
• Proficient in using financial software for AR management.
• Demonstrated ability to accurately calculate, post, correct, and manage accounting figures and financial records.
• Solid data entry skills, with an ability to identify numerical errors.
• Excellent organizational skills for maintaining clear, detailed AR records.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks to meet department goals.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for interacting with customers and team members.
• Customer service orientation to handle billing disputes and negotiate payment plans.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Willingness to maintain up-to-date knowledge of financial procedures, office policies, and company standards.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is preferred.
