Accounts Receivable Lead

The Accounts Receivable Lead is responsible for leading the Accounts Receivable team by offering knowledge and support to the team in the reconciliation of customer accounts, and business to business collections, as well as Order Management and Cash Applications. This position collects on receivable balances, and reconciles the larger and more complex customer accounts.

Essential Functions

Perform business to business collections by collecting on receivable balances per payment termsDevelop and manage close professional relationships with customers’ Accounts Payable department including responding to emails and phone calls for current statement, invoices or POD requestsReview accounts receivable aging and reconcile accounts including the large, complex accountsReview weekly reports and address any issues as neededTraining and development of AR team membersSupport the AR team in their daily workAssist the AR team in approval of fines and fees, and disputesWork closely with Sales team to resolve customer disputesAssigned tasks and projects from AR SupervisorIdentify customer deductions and short payments, and process or dispute as neededIdentify on account payments and overpayments, and apply to correct  transactionsSupport of Orders Management and Cash Applications teamsPlease note this job description is not designed to contain a comprehensive list of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
