Accounts Receivable Research Specialist

Coordinate all processes contingent in collection of funds due including third party logistics entities such as brokers, freight forwarders and those who route freight and negotiate pricing.

Primary Responsibilities

Communicate with past due customers via telephone and/or email to resolve disputes and collect owed revenueInquire as to reasons for slow payment or non-payment and act on information obtained from our customerMake educated judgment calls on account decisions with NAE's and management, based on information obtained from pricing, costing, operations, EDI and claimsInsure proper billing addresses, confirm linkage and pricing for total problem resolutionEstablish good working rapport with customer contactsCommunicate special customer needs to other departments and follow up on completion of tasksResearch check application, refunds and cash applicationPrepare spreadsheets or other customized documents for customers to facilitate collection of funds Send aging, documents, invoice recaps and other related information to customersCommunicate with sales, other internal customers and management in the best interest of OD and our   customers

Job Qualifications

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent

Experience:

Experience in the transportation industry preferredExcellent verbal and written communication skillsProficient with Microsoft OfficeProficient with 10 keyStrong interpersonal and telephone skills

Working Days:

Monday,Tuesday,Wednesday,Thursday,Friday,

Working Shift:

AM / PM
