Accounts Receivable Specialist
Job Title: Accounts Receivable SpecialistJob Description Support the credit department by collecting on past due accounts receivables. Monitor certain A/R accounts and utilize customer portals for information. Assist in reconciling open cash and credit memo items. Compile and process customer credit information. Maintain customer files within the content server. Open to entry-level candidates or those with relatable experience. Responsibilities + Work within customer portals to obtain and resolve payment issues. + Contact customers via phone and email to resolve invoice issues and collect funds. + Record accounts payable contacts and collections notes within collection software. + Research open cash items and credit memos for resolution. + Initiate credit file updates with existing customers by requesting updated credit applications and financial statements. + Monitor the credit inbox. + Contact new customers via email and/or phone to verify that bank and trade information is complete. + Process credit information via email, phone, and fax. + Order DNBi, Credit Risk Monitor, Seafax, and F&D reports on customers. + Compile credit files and send them to the credit analyst, manager, and director for review and decision. + Update collection software and accounting software with updated credit decisions. + Complete credit reference requests. Essential Skills + Accounts receivable experience + Collection and credit & collections experience + B2B experience + 1+ years of AR/Collections experience + Good customer service skills + Detail-oriented + Good problem-solving skills + Experience with SAP + Experience in manufacturing Additional Skills & Qualifications + High School Diploma/GED + 2 years of general accounting, customer service, office, or credit experience + SAP experience preferred + Quality-oriented with technical and professional competency + Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing + Strong organizational skills + Ability to multi-task + Effective team player Work Environment Brand new corporate building in KCK with a modern and open design. Business casual dress code. Hybrid working arrangement with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.
