Our corporate office, located in Riverside, MO, is currently seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist. This position will be responsible for resolution of outstanding accounts receivable dollars from the existing client base as well as performing general accounting tasks necessary to maintain financial records and processes. Approximately fifty percent of this position will be spent on invoice resolution and fifty percent on general accounting duties.
These tasks include but are not limited to:
+ Assuring timely resolution of open account balances by monitoring AR and managing/prioritizing account portfolio
+ Professionally making outbound calls while keeping and improving customer relations
+ Researching customer issues and ensuring timely response
+ Identifying issues attributed to account delinquency and discussing them with management
+ Providing timely follow-up on payment arrangements
+ Maintaining accurate and up-to-date customer records
+ Maintaining current tax documents through the Avalara portal
+ Assisting in the completion of the month-end and year-end close
+ Managing timely and accurate preparation of monthly analysis and reconciliation of all assigned balance sheet accounts
+ Maintaining customer portals
+ Processing new customer credit applications in a timely manner
+ Protecting operations by keeping financial information and plans confidential

Position Requirements
This position requires the following education and experience:
+ 2-3 years experience in collections and/or accounts receivable
+ Associate’s Degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus
Qualified candidates should have the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
+ Knowledge of accounts receivable and generally accepted accounting principles
+ Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems
+ Knowledge of MS Office with strong Excel skills
+ Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills
+ Ability to organize, prioritize, and plan work while simultaneously managing several projects and meeting deadlines
+ Strong attention to detail
+ The ability to produce accurate reports while working in a fast-paced, changing environment
+ Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
