Work with nurse practitioners as a coding reference Scrub claims to ensure accurate billing Review and work rejections in clearinghouse Work with various departments to correct rejections Problem solve to correct future rejections in clearinghouse Track and manage billing issues and communicate issues and/or concerns to Revenue Cycle Manager. System setup across all billing systems and clearinghouses Qualifications Certified coder. High School diploma or GED plus 2 years of medical billing experience (professional office experience in a healthcare setting is preferred). Must exhibit a very high level of thoroughness & detail orientation Goal- and result-oriented, as well as self-motivated with a sense of professional curiosity, desire to learn new things, and to find/recommend solutions to problems.
