Accounts Receivable Specialist
Job Title: Accounts Receivable SpecialistJob Description The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for acting as a liaison between our client and its customers. The position will conduct Credit Card Chargeback research, submit Letters of Credit to banks, conduct payment research, and perform validity checks on deductions taken by customers. We are looking for a detail-oriented individual who will take full ownership of the claim deductions process. The applicant should display a positive and proactive attitude, strong organizational skills, the ability to prioritize and multitask, and be a strong communicator. Responsibilities + Research and dispute Credit Card Chargebacks + Submit Letters of Credit (LOC) to banks + Conduct payment research on customer payments + Obtain payment remits from customers when remits are not originally provided + Assist the Deduction team on open customer claims + Determine the validity of each deduction and appropriate disposition + Submit Credit Memo requests for valid deductions + Effectively communicate outcomes and/or next steps to appropriate stakeholders + Document processes + Assist in special projects as needed + Conduct research and analysis + Perform credit analysis + Track orders + Process payments, remittances, and deductions + Handle claims processing and credits + Utilize Navision software Essential Skills + Experience in Accounts Receivable + High School Diploma required; Associates Degree or higher preferred + Strong customer-focused attitude + Basic knowledge of Accounting principles + Excellent verbal and written communication skills + Ability to function successfully in a high volume and fast-paced environment + Proven organizational and time management skills + Proactive in anticipating issues and able to think outside of the box to resolve issues promptly + Knowledge of importing and wholesale distribution, preferably of consumer goods + Strong Excel skills including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in cash application, chargebacks, and deductions + Familiarity with Navision software Work Environment The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The office culture is amazing, with a hybrid schedule (in-office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). No meetings are scheduled on Fridays, and during summer, employees work half-day Fridays but get paid for full hours. Employees receive discounts on products and events. The office also features a full lounge with a bowling alley for team events.
