Accounts Receivable Specialist
Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Specialist in the vending/food service industry, located in New Berlin, Wisconsin. This role will be fully on-site with some flexibility. The primary responsibilities of this role include handling accounts receivable operations, managing billing processes, and maintaining accurate vendor records. Responsibilities: • Accurately process customer credit applications and post payments into SAP and other proprietary software systems. • Address unapplied and misapplied payments meticulously and ensure all accounts receivable backlogs are cleared. • Generate invoices accurately and manage the entire billing process. • Execute collection efforts, which include contacting customers for outstanding balances and negotiating payment plans as necessary. • Update and maintain vendor information in accordance with corporate policies and collaborate with the accounts receivable/billing team to ensure accuracy. • Input and reconcile data in SAP, Excel, and other proprietary systems. • Utilize Excel, including pivot tables, to perform reporting and analysis supporting accounts receivable functions. • Maintain accurate customer credit records and take appropriate action when necessary. • Handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a flexible work environment. • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to resolve customer inquiries. Requirements • Possess a minimum of 2 years of experience as an Accounts Receivable Specialist or in a similar role. • Proficiency in various accounting functions and practices. • Extensive experience in Accounts Receivable (AR) and billing functions. • Familiarity with cash activity monitoring and cash handling procedures. • Proven experience in collections and cash applications. • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office Suite applications. • Experience in using proprietary software for accounting and financial purposes. • Knowledge and experience in using SAP for business operations and financial management. • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with clients and internal teams.
