Description We are in search of an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join a growing team based in Uniondale, New York. This role provides a contract to permanent employment opportunity and involves entering, posting and reconciling invoices, researching and resolving customer A/R issues, placing billing and collection calls, maintaining cash receipts journal, updating, and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L Responsibilities: • Accurately process customer credit applications in a timely manner • Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date customer credit records • Resolve customer inquiries efficiently and professionally • Monitor customer accounts and initiate appropriate action as required • Perform billing functions as needed • Apply skills in Accounts Receivable (AR) to all relevant tasks. Requirements • Must possess a deep understanding of Accounts Receivable (AR) processes. • Proficiency in performing billing functions. • Previous experience in collections is required. • Ability to handle high volumes of billing and collections activities. • Demonstrated proficiency in using accounting software for AR management. • Excellent organizational skills to maintain detailed and accurate records. • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and internal teams. • Must be detail-oriented to ensure accuracy in all AR and billing tasks. • Ability to work independently and make decisions based on company policies. • Proven problem-solving skills to resolve billing and collection issues. • Should be capable of maintaining customer confidence and protecting operations by keeping financial information confidential.
