Description We are looking for a dedicated Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in the Real Estate Property/Facilities Management industry, based in Bergen County, New Jersey. As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will be tasked with managing and maintaining tenant accounts, processing payments, and enhancing tenant relationships. Responsibilities: + Prepare, post, verify, and record tenant payments and accounts receivable transactions + Receive and apply daily non-tenant receipts + Prepare daily check deposits and record Electronic Funds Transfers + Monitor tenant accounts and manage collection procedures to maximize cash flow + Proactively review A/R aging, provide account statements, and follow up with tenants via calls and emails + Serve as a liaison with third-party legal firms for eviction filings and default judgments + Work with third-party collection agencies as needed + Generate and analyze monthly A/R reports to monitor uncollectible accounts + Build and maintain positive tenant relationships by addressing inquiries and concerns professionally + Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies and past-due balances + Verify and post account adjustments to A/R or G/L accurately and promptly + Prepare reports on tenant account status as needed + Perform other related duties as assigned Requirements + Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role in the Real Estate Property/Facilities Management industry + Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is required + Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) is necessary + Must have substantial experience with Billing procedures + Knowledge and experience with Cash Applications is essential + Previous experience with Cash Collections is required + Must be proficient in Commercial Collections + Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is mandatory + Experience with Yardi software is necessary Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
