Key Responsibilities
+ Monitor and maintain accounts receivable records, including processing invoices, payments, and refunds in a timely manner.
+ Reconcile customer accounts and resolve any discrepancies or billing issues quickly and effectively.
+ Perform collection activities by following up with customers on overdue invoices to ensure timely payment.
+ Prepare and analyze periodic aging reports and other accounts receivable reports for management.
+ Post payments into accounting systems and ensure proper coding to correct ledger accounts.
+ Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., Sales, Accounts Payable, Customer Service) to resolve client issues and discrepancies.
+ Assist with month-end and year-end closings, including A/R-related journal entries and reconciliations.
+ Maintain compliance with corporate policies, procedures, and applicable federal and state regulations.
Requirements
+ Proven experience as an Accounts Receivable Specialist or in a similar accounting role.
+ Proficiency in accounting software systems (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or Microsoft Dynamics) and strong Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).
+ Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with clients and internal teams.
+ Ability to work independently and multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines.
Preferred:
+ Knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principles.
+ An associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
