Robert Half is partnered with a client on the north side of Fort Wayne, IN, and is seeking a motivated Accounts Receivable Specialist to join their team on a contract-to-hire basis. Key Responsibilities + Manage and maintain the accounts receivable process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in invoicing, payments, and reconciliations. + Analyze and resolve discrepancies, including researching overdue accounts and communicating with clients to expedite payment resolution. + Prepare detailed accounts receivable reports and summaries for management, offering actionable insights to improve cash flow and processes. + Incorporate advanced Microsoft Excel techniques, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and advanced formulas, to analyze and track financial data. + Collaborate with internal departments to ensure billing accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures. Requirements Requirements + Experience: Minimum of 3+ years in an accounts receivable role or similar finance/accounting experience. + Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required. Prior experience with accounting software and/or ERP systems is a plus. + Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and maintain accuracy in a deadline-driven environment. + Interpersonal Skills: Effective communicator with the ability to liaise with clients and internal stakeholders professionally and empathetically. + Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred but not required for candidates with substantial relevant experience.
