FlexStaff is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist for our client, a leading provider of osseointegration prosthetics, scoliosis bracing, sports bracing and more.  

The Accounts Receivable Specialist will assist in ensuring that the company receives payment for goods and services offered to clients.  

 

RESPONSABILITIES 

Prepare, post, verify, and record customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable.  Resolve denied claims in a timely manner.  Work and manage commercial and Medicaid claims from all aging buckets including posting, appeals, and ADRs.  Download and review electronic and paper EOBs for denied claims and line-item denials.  Identify and review delinquent accounts and pursue collection as needed.  Coordinate medical record requests with the main office for appeal purposes.  Communicate accurate patient and billing information to the Insurance carrier.  Prepare weekly reports to review with management with updated status and communication.  Maintains the strictest confidentiality and adheres to all HIPAA guidelines/regulations.  Performs other related duties as assigned. 

REQUIREMENTS 

Strong knowledge of medical insurance, billing guidelines, and compliance.  Knowledge of medical terminology, experience in orthotics and prosthetics preferred.  Waystar, OPIE, and Medflex experience a plus.  Knowledge of NY Medicaid and CT Medicaid portals.  Knowledge of the ePaces portal is highly preferred.  Professional and positive communication with interpersonal skills.  Must be highly detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple tasks.  High attention to detail and ability to problem solve claim resolution.  Experience in driving process improvement.  Bi-lingual (Spanish), a plus. 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 

High school graduate or equivalent required; Associate degree or equivalent preferred.  Experience working in a medical practice/healthcare setting; at least 2 years preferred.  Orthotic & Prosthetic field experience necessary, at least 2 years preferred.
