Description Robert Half is looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our client's team in the western suburbs. As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will play a crucial role in maintaining customer accounts, resolving customer inquiries, and ensuring accurate records. You will also be tasked with monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate actions. Responsibilities: • Manage accounts receivable aging reports • Conduct cash application and cash collections • Deductions research and management • Perform duties to complete month-end and year-end reporting requirements • Retrieve customer remittance advises from various sources • Apply cash payments to customer accounts • Investigate and resolve discrepancies between invoices and payments • Monitor overdue accounts on the weekly Aging Report • Document and track collection efforts • Investigate and resolve customer credit activity in line with Customer Rebate programs • Communicate the state of customer accounts to the management and sales team • Perform month-end closing reconciliations, create PBC schedules for Year-End Audit This position offers a salary range of $50,000-$60,000 and comes with a full benefit package including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401k with a match, paid time off, holiday pay, STD/LTD/Life Insurance. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role as an Accounts Receivable Specialist • Proven expertise in Account Reconciliation • Proficient in Accounts Receivable (AR) tasks • Experience in Cash Applications • Background in Commercial Collections • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel • Knowledge and experience using Sage 100 software • Experience in handling Deductions in accounts receivable • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy is essential • Associate's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field preferred If interested, please contact Brian Keating at 331-264-5688.
