Accounts Receivable Specialist
Description

Position Purpose The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for working with the collections team, handling cash applications, managing customer account cleanup, and overseeing various aspects of collections. The essential functions of this position include but are not limited to:Establish credit terms and limits for new customers using DNB reports, supplier references, personal guarantees.Create and maintain accurate customer files.Apply customer payments received via live checks, credit cards, lockbox, and ACH transactions.Process credit card payments.Review and manage chargebacks.Follow up with customers to obtain remittances.Reconcile unapplied payments.Input invoices into customer portals.Provide clear communication and excellent customer service regarding collection issues to both external customers and internal business partners.Make professional outbound calls to maintain and enhance customer relations.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications2+ years accounts receivable experienceStrong communication, problem solving, and analytical skills requiredSelf-disciplined, able to identify and complete essential tasks independently and efficiently with a sense of urgencyProficiency in MS Office, including Excel, Word and OutlookPreferred QualificationsNotaryNo candidate will meet every single desired qualification.
