As the Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will help resolve accounts receivable issues within an assigned portfolio, ensuring accurate processing while maintaining strong customer relationships. You will manage customer disputes, deliver on performance metrics, and contribute to various accounting and financial tasks. You will work as part of a 6-month project team that requires onsite work in Andover, MA.
You Will:
Manage activities for an assigned accounts receivable portfolio.
Be a representative of the Finance Shared Services organization, managing tactical customer relationships.
Troubleshoot and resolve significant issues, providing recommendations and implementing solutions.
Deliver on key performance metrics established during the goal/review process.
Analyze customer accounts, including purchases, payments, and credit exposure, to make informed decisions that align with business strategy.
Maintain clear communication with Field Sales, Agents, Logistics, and Management regarding account risks, potential credit problems, disputes, and customer comments, escalating.
Handle customer disputes using the HighRadius tool, generating credit memos where applicable and in line with SOP business rules.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date collection notes in QAD for assigned customers.
Support common carrier dispute resolution.
Provide guidance to Sales and Operations on releasing orders for accounts with aged receivables.
Prepare accounts for placement with collection agencies or third-party activity.
You Have:
Associate's degree in business, accounting, or related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
2+ years of experience in accounts receivable or a related field.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong technical skills.
Experience working with large ERP systems and analysis tools.
Excellent oral and written communication skills with a strong customer service mindset.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Proven problem-solving and root cause identification skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively with all levels of an organization.
Collaborative mindset and the ability to work with diverse technical abilities.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk, and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
Work in both office and manufacturing environment. May occasionally be required to perform job duties outside the typical office setting.
